About Vietnam numbers
Vietnam uses the country code +84, with the telecommunications sector supervised by the Ministry of Information and Communications (Bộ Thông tin và Truyền thông, often abbreviated MIC). The Vietnamese numbering plan was restructured in 2018 to standardise mobile numbers at 10 digits. Mobile numbers now begin with 03x, 05x, 07x, 08x, or 09x depending on operator: Viettel uses 032–039, 086, 096, 097, 098; Mobifone uses 070, 079, 089, 090, 093; Vinaphone uses 081–085, 088, 091, 094. Landlines use geographic area codes: Hanoi uses 24, Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) uses 28, Da Nang uses 236, and Hai Phong uses 225.
2FA + Vietnam — frequently asked
-
Will my Vietnam bank send 2FA SMS to a NoKYCNumber line?
Most major Vietnam banks send to any local mobile, including NoKYCNumber lines. A small minority of banks restrict to their internal carrier whitelist; for those, a personal SIM is unavoidable. Test before relying on it for a critical account.
-
What happens if a 2FA SMS doesn't arrive?
Most platforms fall back to voice call after SMS timeout. NoKYCNumber's AI auto-pickup picks up the call, transcribes the spoken code, and posts it to your panel — so voice-call 2FA still works.
-
Can I use this for crypto exchange withdrawals?
Yes — Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bitstamp, Gemini and most exchanges accept NoKYCNumber lines for SMS-based 2FA and withdrawal confirmation. We recommend the premium tier (Tier S) for max routing reliability.
-
Should I rotate the number?
Best practice: rotate every 12 months. Cancel, take a fresh number from a different Vietnam carrier range, update your 2FA settings on each platform. Costs ~5 minutes per rotation, leaves no long-lived linkable identifier.
-
Can I forward codes to a secrets manager?
Yes — every NoKYCNumber line exposes an API endpoint that streams new SMS in real time. Pipe to Bitwarden, 1Password, your custom dashboard, or a Slack channel. Documented at /api/.
